Privacy
What we hold, why we hold it, and how you get it back.
Sensitive details are a separate yes
Race or ethnicity, religion, and orientation are special-category data under the GDPR and UK GDPR, special personal information under POPIA, and sensitive data under the PDPA. We store them only against your recorded, explicit consent, asked for separately from the Terms.
We use them for exactly one purpose: matching — running your Dealbreakers and other people's. They are never used for advertising and we never sell them. "Prefer not to say" is always available, and declining blocks you from nothing except filtering on that axis.
You can withdraw that consent at any time from your account page. Withdrawing deletes those answers.
Your rights
You can export everything we hold about you as a JSON file, and you can delete your account, both from your account page and from the app. Deletion removes you from every pool, deck and queue immediately and erases your personal data within the statutory window.
There is one exception, and we state it where the promise is made rather than burying it: if your account is part of a safety report, we keep that report's evidence for as long as the law and our moderation policy require.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't run advertising against it. We don't compute or show a desirability score, rank, band, decile or percentile about you to anyone, including you — the numbers you see are about your own filters and your own pool, and nothing else.
The one place we publish numbers about you is your Filter Receipt, and its denominator is stated in the interface: members active in the last 14 days.
